The really busy times are early in the year to spring break (kickoff season - new projects kick off during this time and do early sprints), then after spring break to Memorial Day (trying to hit milestones before summer) and everything gets quieter in the summer. It then picks up again after Labor Day and dies over Thanksgiving and for the rest of the year. And of course it can spike anytime due to a fire drill but I haven't pulled an all nighter in something like 13 years.
But one thing I'll note is that we consider ANYTHING you do related to your job as working. When I say 40-55, I include reading stuff about my area, hanging out with coworkers, etc. Law firm people basically just care about what you can bill for. |
