Date: June 16th, 2026 5:48 PM Author: chilmata I saw a tweet today from some guy alleging that Anthropic is "silently" moving people to lower models from Fable5 if their prompts are too "sensitive." Some guy allegedly asked about cancer research and got downgraded silently to a crappier model. Another guy put in some other prompt and also got silently downgraded.
That's obviously bullshit. So what happened? He typed a prompt into Fable5 and then after the output it said Opus 4.8?
Or did this Claude user have some way of determining from the output, "Hey, this isn't Mythos! This is fucking Opus 4.8!"
Then there was another tweet yesterday about: all Anthropic had to do was fix this super easy exploit Amazon found, but Anthropic refused!
The tweet went on to accuse Anthropic of being hypocritical because they pretend to be the champions of AI safety, but refused to fix this simple, little patch that would have kept Mythos running!
