If you’re an alcoholic you get used to the hangovers and they’re not so bad. It just becomes a normal daily ritual to feel shitty for a few hours after getting up. You can even solve for most of this with a bit of booze in your morning coffee. So, the feeling bad part isn’t the main problem. It’s more just that it runs your body and mind down over time and you kind of lose your lifeforce and begin to look like shit, puffy and unhealthy. If it didn’t do that then it would be worth it. But you can also solve for that if you dry out at least one week from time to time. Which means the most sensible thing in the world is to be a heavy drinker that takes long breaks every month or two.
