You run into people who’ve played Witcher 3 or Skyrim or GTA or COD or any of these games that sold 30m+. But you don’t see Death Stranding or Redfall fans or whatever online or irl. Non-blockbuster AAA seems like a shitty business and product. Well like Death Stranding is a triumph but it’s the exception. And I suppose From Software is AAA, even if they don't fall into the gay AAA trappings that have Ruined Games for the most part.
And with Kojima, I love him (hence my moniker), but how much of his whole schtick rides on what he did literally 20+ years ago. |

Like the number of people who legit give a fuck about games like this is less than those who cared about Midnight Club in 2003.
And Fromsoft seems less prolific now, just expansions since Elden Ring came out and Duskbloods is late and doesn’t seem like it’ll be a Full Game. |
