Today was one hell of a strange Monday

Also, my lawyer didn't call and fire me either, even though I thought he would. Maybe I staved that one off too. Still, my life is not chill, bros. I'm very stressed out. |

Date: June 1st, 2026 10:47 PM Author: luke the drifter (definite and ineradicable gauge of its upward moving) Meeting was supposed to be about workflow and getting reassigned to some subordinate role where I have less independence and visibility. This was the stated goal. But we get into the meeting and it immediately becomes clear that nobody is organized or has thought this through and there’s no way to actually implement the subordinate role. I didn’t say much. I just looked at all the lawyers’ time during the meeting. I had the most hours of anyone on the call but I was somehow the target? Also, I haven’t lost a case since I came to this firm. I’m dunking on the competition. Also, they said that someone complained that I was a racist, but then they took that back and said, “no, someone implied you had implicit discriminatory bias” or something like that. Anyway, it’s been a whirlwind of shit. |

It’s a lot of sleeplessness, physical tension in my back and shoulders, high heart rate, sometimes over 120, never below 100, and the feeling that everything is numb and happening to someone else. Like I’m somehow removed from the equation. I can’t even listen to music anymore. It’s like I don’t hear it. I hear it but it produces no effect. I’m tense without feeling tense mentally.
