Palestinians living in Lebanon tried to genocide the Christians and started a civil war that lasted from the 1970s to 1990. This led to a failed state. The actual Lebanese government and army are very weak and are not fighting Israel or Hezbollah. Hezbollah is an Iranian backed, pro-Palestine militia with more power than the actual government.
The government and most of the people would love to get rid of them but they can't because they're too powerful and Lebanon itself is basically a failed state at this point. Beirut doesn't even have power 24 hours per day and has to do rolling blackouts to manage electricity. |
