In the old days it was fun to go up when a good team was playing the Expos and get quality seats at a huge discount to US prices. Now you can choose between jazz fest or trying to persuade old bros that a second marriage merits a Montreal bachelor party.
Terrible place to live, go to school, or take a weird random shrew vacation. Winters are awful, city is small and boring, surrounding area sucks and also has nothing to do, and French people are exactly as shitty as the stereotypes. Many many Americans have visited McGill for 3 days in the summer, convinced themselves that this is a great solution to their inability to get in to Duke, and immediately regretted their decision upon starting school. |
