Russia will now not stop until its captured the whole eastern half of the country, and the western rump will remain “Ukraine”. They have more guns and manpower and it’s a war of attrition, so they’re going to win. They have no reason to stop.
They won’t take the whole thing because occupying an area that would have a huge Ukrainian insurgency would be too difficult to manage and Russia would become a true pariah state. The “peace” would only be a frozen conflict and give Russia even more leverage to undermine Europe in the future, and it will be a stunning defeat for the continent and NATO. |

It's not far off from where drones can in fact fly without human input. I.e. just tell them "hit xxx target in moscow". Russia would be stupid to sign any deal that does not involve regime change in ukraine. The only reason this war is going on at all is because Russia "negotiated" with the west 2014-2022.
