Like yes it is in fact possible to have a strong af start then for momentum to die. It’s a toy ffs and audiences are fickle. I went to GameStop irl with a Woman and asked about Switch 2 which had ample stock and they didn’t exactly “recommend” it. |

You’ll notice I don’t have much to say about Mario Kart, DK, or Kirby. Im sure they’re fine but the target audience is disco fries’ kids tbh. Then I saw the 50 YouTube videos on the State of Metroid and it turned into a good old fashioned dogpile on a western developer which I am always, always up for. Game maker stop making good games that were moddable, that could build huge communities, etc. And started releasing the same old shit year after year with almost no originality. Counterstrike clones basically killed PC gaming.
