He’s just amassing hardware with no end in sight. And tbf Nintendo did go 15 years without releasing a single game (2002-2016). I’m not going to be like their fans and pretend that the games are good when they aren’t even releasing games. I’ll give credit where it’s due but I have nothing to say about games that don’t even exist and haven’t been announced.
If Switch 2 did its job of actually being a Switch Pro well, that would be nice. But the screen is Ruinous. If it had Games that would be nice, but it doesn’t. Basically we need AAA M-rated Mario/Zelda or westerners like us will never be satisfied. I want Ganon to bleed red as Link performs a fatality on him, just like in OOT (gold cartridge). N64 was Scummy af and enemies died bloody, gruesome deaths. Doom 64 is the best Console Doom of the 90s btw. |

Pro wrestling was demeaning to women, Limp Bizkit and Korn ruled the airwaves, Monster Trucks and Harleys Davidson were in vogue.
He won't acknowledge Nintendo's success because they're all family friendly clean games and not Mortal Kombat which he remembers because SNES/N64 were his formative years. We are NEVER going back to ClayFighter 63 1/3. But that doesn't mean Nintendo didn't have any Games during that era.
He romanticizes the Age of Scum because that's when he was in high school and life was a lot better for straight white guys and pop culture reflected this. He's right that Sony exclusives don't matter because Xbox and Sony took over on Mature content from Nintendo which cornered the market on family friendly content and kids games. But yeah they were amazing games. cowgod is Ruined. |
