tbh there IS an entire sub-economy of proles selling their used junk back to each other. They will buy some shiny toy they can’t really afford and if it doesn’t meet their expectations or they want something else instead they will try to resell it. This is why proles despise subscriptions, digital rights management, anything that takes away their “ownership” which just means ability to pawn and resell.
