Minutes before the movie started a group of 50 teenagers all black and brown came in, hooting and hollering and yelling stuff at the front of the theater. More and more poured in, despite being a matinee, the theater was almost full, with teenagers yelling and throwing things, one even started playing some music on his cell phone. A kid behind me threw a soda to his friend in front of me with some spilling on me as it flew. I didn’t say anything but turned around and gave him a dirty look. He told me to “fuck off white unc” and a bunch of the kids around started yelling at me “mind your business unc” and one of them ran up to me, took my bucket of popcorn, and ran back to his seat as the young girls around him laughed.
