The actual huge deal for investors is that the company is going to do a REIT spinco for Darden's owned/leased real estate which will create substantial tax savings and increase investor yield.
The CEO who ran Darden before was an entrenched idiot who blew a ton of money and almost destroyed the franchise, glad he got ousted. |
