There is a long history of police not caring about black victims, or putting a lot more credence behind a white person's words.
I know I will immediately get jumped on for calling him white, but here is my take: He is a light-skinned man, half white, guarding the sanctity of his gated community against a black kid who he clearly deemed an outsider. Whether he is 50 or 100% white is almost immaterial. |
