Go see it in 3D. It's 35% more immersive than the previous sequel, at least, and I am now mildly depressed to not being in the world of Pandora until I watch it again.

Did it go quickly or did it feel long. I’m going to watch it for the visual feast but 3 hours 20 minutes is ridiculous

It barely noticed the passage of time, I was so enthralled with the special effects, including the tasteful use of AI.

So they can charge the diehard fans more money for dat opening night $30 ticket (soon 50). It's all about value. The fans want an experience. It's supposed to be immersive. Like here, have my whole day. Take my family spend 150 dollars, 200 with food. Take my life, just please, Jim, let me LIVE in fucking Pandora for the next 3 fucking hours!

These movies are absolutely amazing in 3d. Every single frame of it looks better than any other frame in a "movie" produced this decade. You'll see a well staged battle between two characters and theres 5 interesting things all happening in the background at the same time.

There are 10 action sequences in this movie that are heads and shoulders above anything in the theaters this year. They're like Saving Private Ryan D-Day level competence.

The characters are also likeable and the dialogue and plot isn't that bad.

The only reason this movie is not far and away the best picture frontrunner is because it is just very hard to give a shit about these blue aliens, and Cameron vastly overestimates how long people want to spend with them. The movies should be 2 hours and done.
