Average Americans eat 50 hot dogs per year.

Many nicknames applying to either have emerged over the years, including frankfurter, frank, wiener, weenie, coney, and red hot. Annually, Americans consume 20 billion hot dogs.

I think I eat more hot dogs than the vast majority of people, but I don't think I eat 50 a year. Maybe if I grill a bunch and eat 10 on a weekend, but that isn't often. |
