number one they lived in a world without any light polution, but they would also use reflecting pools to get a very clear view of everything

There were no screens and many people slept outside for part of the year. It’s not surprising they would notice certain lights in the sky changing position

ancient aliens brought their universe knowledge to human astronomers through visions or dreams. And sometimes they just told them face to face, but becs aliens were so, well, alien, ancient astronomers likened them to being a vision/dream and not an actual daytime encounter but either way, the info was presented and recieved.

True, but with regard to planets specifically, they're easy fuck to see in the sky and notice as being different from the stars.

I suspect OP has some kind of undisgnosed vision disorder.

Venus and Mars for sure. They stand out as weird as fuck and any dipshit would notice paying even a modiCUM of attention. Jupiter also pretty easy.

go to a dark sky community or like big bend or bryce canyon national park at night, it'll blow your fucking mind. we've been denied 95% of the universe.
