many have said this before me, and i have said it many times, but i used to think that jews were 180 - smart, successful, productive, stewards of the only democracy in the middle east, etc. but once (after october 7) i learned of their brutality in the middle east and their many shenanigans in the US and other western countries, my views did a 180. |

It was retained in MAGA as one of like 3-5 remnant issues (along with the name "republian") so that boomer cons would still have some reason to consider this their party, but it really doesn't fit.
Some ppl are legit mad about the genocide, but I don't want to overstate that because palestinians are some of the least sympathetic genocide victims in world history (more generally, the history of Israel is basically Arab World rejectionism and pugilism that it's then completely incapable of backing up militarily).
For the most part, folks are starting to realize that, in the same way that "stereotypes" about Blacks etc. are, if not completely true in every case, good assumptions to live by, anti-Semitic "tropes" are actually evidence-based and addressing them head-on will likely improve societal outcomes. |
