Trump definitely is weird but in a good way. Gay weirdos like Walz are weird in bad ways.

DNC consultants said they needed a really masculine presence for the VP slot, so they went with their strongest option on that.

libs think of everything in terms of identity. from that POV ealz was a good choice because he's everything kamala isn't from a surface level. they remain confused why this didn't resonate with the electorate.

the bottom line is that Kamala was never gonna pick someone smarter or more competent than her, so it’s pretty slim pickings

picking Walz was like when Putin picked Medvedev, knowing he was too puny and weak to ever be a threat

I really don't follow politics closely. But it seems that the vast majority of Democratic males available for national office are either black, jew, or gay. And, as said above, when identity politics is your game, you want some balance on the ticket, which means a white man somewhere. Can't have two women, can't have a black and a woman, etc. Does anyone really think Biden was chosen for any other reason?

This. Biden was selected (and everyone else forced to drop out) in 2020 because he could sell total shit while coming off as a "nice moderate grandpa" to voters who aren't paying close attention (which is still a huge number of them.) I know several Boomers who voted for him because they wanted to bring "normalcy" back and they didn't actually pay attention to the issues or reality on the ground at all. Many such cases at the time, fewer today.

This is why they will likely try and forcememe Mark Kelly in the years ahead. But I'm not sure it's even workable anymore with the shift in demographics and enough Boomers either dying off or becoming more actively afraid of the beast they let in (demographically speaking.)
