this is cr. the dems should not have started down this road.
in a different context, biden fired the GC of the NLRB the second he took office. that shocked a lot of us in the labor community bc it had never been done before. so obviously trump followed suit after he got back into office. it'll happen every time there's an admin change now.
same with the lawfare bullshit.

Speculation about crimes at ActBlue. but i did learn that Yellen had been stiffing Republicans about production of SARs about ActBlue. presumably Bessent is turning everything over.
the rapid exit of top people seems suspicious.

ActBlue Probes May Shut Down DNC Money Laundry
The fundraising platform is suspected of identity theft, credit card fraud, and various other financial crimes.

efore the recent election, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability asked then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to turn over all Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) relating to ActBlue — not much happened. An SAR is a document that banks file with the Treasury Department pursuant to potentially fraudulent or illicit financial activity. Yellen stalled, presumably in the hope that the Democrats would win the House back in November and halt the investigation. That obviously didn’t happen and the new Secretary of the Treasury, Scott Bessent, is of course cooperating with the committee.
ActBlue will not survive the light that the House committee and nineteen state attorneys general are determined to shine on it.
This may well be what precipitated the sudden departure of seven senior officials from ActBlue in February. The New York Times reports that the exodus included “the associate general counsel — who was the highest-ranking legal officer at ActBlue — the assistant research director, a human resources official, the chief revenue officer and an engineer who had spent 16 years building and maintaining the electronic pipes through which the group’s donations flow.” These “electronic pipes” are clearly of particular interest to the Chairman of the Oversight and Accountability Committee, Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), who included the following forewarning in his letter to erstwhile Treasury Secretary Yellen:
Recent reports have raised the specter of fraud and evasion of campaign finance law by individuals exploiting online contribution platforms, especially ActBlue. For example, ActBlue had not implemented standard procedures to guard against identity theft and fraud such as requiring a Card Verification Value (CVV) to process online transactions until it received criticism for not doing so. ActBlue is also being investigated by several states’ officials in relation to contributions allegedly made via the platform fraudulently without the reported contributor’s awareness.
This practice is known as “smurfing.” It is a type of identity theft whereby the names of small dollar donors are repeatedly used without their knowledge to mask large dollar political contributions that by law must be reported to the Federal Election Commission (FEC). The website, Election Watch, features a “Smurf Search” tool that allows users to search FEC data for implausibly large numbers of political contributions attributed to individual donors. An examination of the data, for example, indicates that a single Colorado resident allegedly made 57,138 contributions — one transaction every 1.3 days — totaling no less than $234,441.
And this is by no means an outlier. The FEC data shows a Florida resident whose individual contributions purportedly come to 52,591— an average of one transaction every 1.8 days — totaling $387,720. One California resident listed has supposedly made 52,501 separate contributions — an average of one transaction every 2.9 days — totaling $884,152. The list goes on and on. There are quite literally thousands of examples with similarly implausible contribution patterns. Thus, 19 states have opened investigations into ActBlue. The following is an excerpt of a letter the state attorneys general sent to its President and CEO, Regina Wallace-Jones.
Recent reporting suggests that that there may be donors across the country who are identified in filings with the Federal Election Commission as having donated to candidates through ActBlue (and other affiliated entities), but who did not actually make those donations. That raises a host of concerns about whether ActBlue’s platform is being used to facilitate “smurfing” — a type of money laundering in which donors break up large donations and submit them under different names to disguise who the money comes from and thereby skirt contribution limits.
None of this should surprise any student of Democratic fundraising tactics. As far back as March of 2023, independent journalist James O’Keefe looked into ActBlue and interviewed a number of the people this fundraising organization reported to the FEC as high volume, low dollar contributors. He subsequently posted this X video substantiating the results. He knocks on doors, speaks directly to alleged donors and receives responses ranging from doors slamming in his face to curious citizens simply answering his questions. The latter emphatically deny donating money in the amounts or with the frequency reported by ActBlue to the FEC in their names.
ActBlue’s Source of Money
All of which inevitably brings us to the following question: What is the source of the large contributions that ActBlue is suspected of laundering by means of identity theft and credit card fraud? We aren’t talking chump change here. ActBlue has raised about $16 billion for the Democratic Party and other far left organizations since it was founded in 2004. According to Open Secrets, it raised more than $3.8 billion during the recent election cycle, well over $3.7 billion of which allegedly arrived in the form of “small dollar” donations. Is it plausible that ActBlue received that kind of money from people worried about the price of eggs?
The most likely source of its funding is, and always was, a combination of far left billionaires such as George Soros, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Sandler, Patricia Bauman, et al. ActBlue will not survive the light that the House committee and nineteen state attorneys general are determined to shine on it. That’s why its senior officials bailed, leaving the rank-and-file activists holding all that dirty money. If ActBlue goes belly up, who will do the laundry for the Democratic Party?

Here are the five radical leftist groups protesting Elon Musk – one of which received $7.6M from George Soros
George Soros gave $7.6 million to one of five groups accused of targeting Elon Musk’s Tesla company, The Post has learned.
Tesla cars, Cybertrucks, dealerships and charging stations have been set on fire, shot at and sprayed with graffiti across the nation in acts of politically charged vandalism since Musk’s new Department of Government Efficiency started making government cuts.
While the motives behind individual attacks vary, Musk has identified certain groups who organized protests against him and his company.
“An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla ‘protests’: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America,” he said in a recent X post.
“We do not direct, coordinate, or dictate the strategies or activities of the organizations we support,” said a statement from the Open Society Foundations. “The Open Society Foundations support a broad range of nonprofit organizations that work to strengthen democracy and promote nonviolent civic engagement. Our grantees operate independently and are expected to do so in full adherence to U.S. law.”
ActBlue is a Democratic Party-affiliated fundraising platform, currently under fire for raising funds for anti-Israel terrorists.
Here’s how each of those groups have been involved in protesting against Tesla:
Indivisible Project
Indivisible Project, a Washington-based non-profit, has been almost entirely financed by Soros’s Open Society. It is coordinating a cross-country protest against Musk, empowering “grassroots” affiliates to “stop the Trump-Musk coup,” according to its website.
The group took in more than $7.6 million from Open Society between 2017 and 2023. It was originally set up in 2016 to protest the election of Donald Trump.
Indivisible Action, a related Political Action Committee, has raised more than $9 million, public records show.
Indivisible Action’s anti-Musk activities include posting a toolkit on its website for a “Musk or US March Recess” demonstration planned for next week during the government’s spring break.
The toolkit includes graphics for signs reading: “GTFO Musk” and “Fire Elon Musk.”
In addition to Soros, the group has received $2 million from the Sandler Foundation, which funds groups such as the progressive news platform ProPublica.
Herbert Sandler, a New York-born banker, set up the foundation with his wife Marion in 1991, and has given out more than $1.2 billion in grants to progressive nonprofits, according to its website.
After Sandler’s death in 2019, the married Congressional staffers who set up Indivisible Project thanked him for his support.
“For the last two years, we’ve counted ourselves as deeply fortunate to know Herb, and to benefit from his advice and guidance,” said Ezra Levin and Leah Greenberg in a 2019 press release.
“He was always thinking about the next stage for Indivisible, asking hard questions that pushed us forward. We will miss him deeply.”
Married couple Leah Greenberg and Ezra Levin are the co-founders of Indivisible, which is linked to a PAC that has raised more than $9 million to support progressive candidates.

Herbert Sandler (November 16, 1931 – June 5, 2019)[1] was a co-CEO (with his wife, Marion Sandler) of Golden West Financial Corporation and World Savings Bank. He died on June 4, 2019, at the age of 87.[2] Golden West Financial's lending practices had Time magazine include Sandler and his wife Marion in their list of the "25 People to Blame for the Financial Crisis".[3]
Early life
Herbert Sandler was born on November 16, 1931, in New York City. He grew up in a Jewish family in the Bronx.[4]
Education
Sandler graduated from Stuyvesant High School in New York City and the City College of New York in 1951. He graduated from Columbia Law School in 1954.[5][6]
Career
In 1963, the Sandlers created Golden West Financial Corporation, a savings and loan holding company, to acquire Golden West Savings and Loan Association, the predecessor to World Savings Bank. Since that time, Golden West grew into one of the largest thrifts in the U.S. with assets of approximately $125 billion, deposits of $60 billion, and 12,000 employees. Under the Sandlers' management, Golden West generated a 19 percent average annual compound growth in earnings per share over a 39-year period. The company was described as "one of the most efficient and productive money machines on the planet",[7] and was included 10 times in Fortune magazine's annual list of the United States' most admired companies.[8] The Sandlers were also named "2004 CEOs of the Year" by Morningstar, Inc.
In an article on the death of Marion Sandler, Ryan Mac of Forbes notes that Golden West "instituted borrowing practices that were largely blamed for the housing market collapse".[9]
Golden West was sold in 2006 for $24 billion to Wachovia Bank and the acquisition was completed in October 2006.[10] The Sandlers owned about 10% of the company at the time of the sale, making their share of the sale price worth about $2.4 billion. Of this the Sandlers gave $1.3 billion to the Sandler Foundation.[11]
Role in subprime mortgage crisis
Sandler and his wife have throughout their public life denounced predatory lenders and the poor underwriting practices of other lenders. However, the actual practices of their firm especially in the 2000s, undermined their conservative lending principles and reputations, especially in the wake of the housing crash in 2008.[12]
The Sandlers are credited with the invention of the "Pick-A-Pay" mortgage that allowed borrowers to pay less than the interest due on their loan each month—which increased the total amount owed by the borrower. Analysts place the blame on the near failure of Wachovia in the fall of 2008 on the "Pick-A-Pay" mortgage portfolio they acquired from the Sandler's firm.[13]
Martin Eakes, the director of the Center for Responsible Lending, said that prepayment penalties would make it hard for cash-poor borrowers to refinance a loan for one with more manageable terms, and helped to get a law passed in North Carolina prohibiting such charges. The Sandlers supported prepayment penalties, acknowledging that lenders used the penalties to lock borrowers into “absolutely awful” loans, but saying that his firm used the penalties to fend off unethical brokers who enticed borrowers with low-interest-rate loans that often had hidden fees. Sandler described independent brokers as "the whores of the world”, nonetheless by 2006 independent brokers generated 60 percent of World Savings' loan business, and he claimed that he was compelled to do so because of brokers were a dominant force in the mortgage industry. World Savings was supposed to telephone applicants to ensure that they understood the terms of their loan, as a check on the representations that brokers made to borrowers, but these calls reached only about half of the borrowers.[14]
Philanthropy
The Sandlers helped found and were among the largest benefactors of the Center for Responsible Lending, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization fighting predatory mortgage lending, payday loans, and other products that prey on consumers;[15] the Center for American Progress, a progressive think tank; ProPublica, an investigative reporting newsroom; and the American Asthma Foundation.[citation needed]
The Sandlers established the Sandler Foundation in 1991, which has donated hundreds of millions of dollars to various causes, primarily focusing on scientific research, civil liberties, and social justice. In 2006, the Sandlers made a contribution of $1.3 billion to the foundation, which was the second largest American charitable contribution of that year.[16]

Congress calls for the DoJ to investigate Democrat slush fund ActBlue
Posted on March 18, 2025 by Angry Webmaster
Good day all. The other day I posted a blog entry on ActBlue and how most of it’s senior management and legal officers had suddenly bolted from the organization. For years there have been stories that ActBlue was basically nothing more then a money laundering system for the Democrat party.
Since the Republicans took the house in 2022, they have been digging into all the Democrat corruption, at least trying to do so. Of course, the Biden maladministration threw up roadblocks. In many cases flat out refusing to provide data to the oversight committees. (They obviously didn’t really think that President Trump would get back in and get control, however tenuous of Congress)
Now the oversight committees are getting buried with data that they couldn’t get their hands on before. What they are finding, especially with regards to ActBlue, has led some to contact Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel and ask that they open an investigation. Here are the details on this from Fox News:
Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., has sent a letter to the Federal Bu*reau of Investigation (FBI) calling for an investigation into ActBlue, the main fundraising platform for the Democratic Party, over concerns the platform had “been used to skirt the integrity of federal campaign finance laws.”
Skirting the law? How does flat out ignoring it strike you?
“In 2024, President Biden’s Treasury Department found hundreds of suspicious transactions with ActBlue reported by banks,” Biggs said in his letter to FBI Director Kash Patel on Thursday.
These are what are known as Suspicious Activity Reports. Banks and other financial institutions have to file these if certain events occur. When they were looking into the Biden Crime Family’s many shell companies and how money was moved around, it was the SAR’s that allowed the to follow the bribe money to “The Big Guy.”
“The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and the Committee on House Administration have been investigating these allegations of misconduct. But the previous Administration has stalled access to the necessary documents. This week, Oversight Chairman Comer and Administration Chairman Stiles have renewed their request with Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.”
The issue previously was Janet Yellen. Apparently, she was providing these reports on ActBlue, but when the Oversight Committee started to actually find things, she shut down any further cooperation.
The letter cited Republican concerns that ActBlue’s verification policies could potentially allow foreign actors in countries like China, Venezuela and Russia to influence elections with straw donations.
I can see China for sure since they already own a fair chunk of the Democrat Party. Russia? Not so much since they’re rather hard up for cash at the moment. I can’t see Venezuela spending money since they’re broker than Russia. Not the Drug Cartels? They might have spent a few million to keep the border open.
Biggs also pointed out in his letter that nineteen state attorneys general across the country have made inquiries into ActBlue over a variety of allegations, including fraud, money laundering, fraudulent and counterfeit use of credit and debit cards, and patterns of contributions that are suspicious.
The State AG’s have been doing what they could, but they were limited to looking into anything that affected their state elections. They could coordinate with each other to some extent, but the very nature of what ActBlue is alleged to have been doing needs to be looked into on the Federal level.
“It must be emphasized that these allegations, were they to prove true, would indicate a serious threat to the integrity of our elections, besides the victimization of American citizens,” Biggs wrote to Patel. “The gravity of the allegations and their implications demand a thorough and vigorous investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation. We strongly urge an inquiry into ActBlue.”
I have little doubt that Kash Patel would be more then happy to initiate a preliminary investigation. This would be along the lines of “Is there actually a fire behind all this smoke?” type of investigation. This was exactly what the FBI was envisioned to do and actually used to do once upon a time. However, the main problem is who can you truest to actually do the work in the FBI?
“The allegations against ActBlue are alarming and, if true, threaten the integrity of our Republic,” Biggs told Fox News Digital. “I’m thankful for the work Director Patel is doing to restore our justice system, and I look forward to working with him to uncover the truth about ActBlue.”
ActBlue, what’s left of the management anyway, is, of course, claiming it’s all a political witch hunt and there is nothing to this. The problem is all of the little things that have been found so far. It’s making a lot of people go “Hmmm, this is very interesting.” The problem has been the Democrats doing what Democrats always do. Protecting the Party and their revenue streams.
In a press release earlier this week when a letter to the Treasury Department was sent, the House Oversight Committee said the Biden administration “intentionally stonewalled” its work looking into ActBlue.
I saw something about this in the American Spectator this morning:
Before the recent election, the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability asked then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to turn over all Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) relating to ActBlue — not much happened.
As I recall, Yellen did not receive one of the Blanket pardons issued by Dementia Joe Biden’s infamous Autopen. Depending on what is found, she might end up in front of a Congressional committee, or, potentially, a Federal Grand Jury. Some of the things that the State AG’s and the Oversight committee found was that ActBlue did not have the CVV feature enabled to verify credit card transactions.
“Until recently, ActBlue had not implemented standard procedures to guard against identity theft and fraud, such as by requiring a Card Verification Value (CVV) to process online transactions. The organization is also the subject of several state-level investigations stemming from allegedly fraudulent contributions made via the platform without the reported contributors’ awareness — serious allegations that, if proven true, would violate federal law.”
That CVV check is the number on the back of the credit card. When you do an online transaction, it will ask you for the 3 digit, (Or more with some other cards), code. If it’s entered wrong or not at all, the transaction fails out. If I recall correctly, the Obama campaigns were also dinged for not using the CVV checks. Besides validating the card, it also shows where the card is. Since it’s illegal for foreign entities to donate to American elections, a CVV check, properly configured would have blocked them.
During the last election, Kamala Harris raised, and basically set fire to almost $1 billion dollars. How she raised so much in so short an amount of time has been something a lot of people, have wondered including the New York Post:
ActBlue helped contribute nearly $2 billion in the 2023-24 campaign to Democratic candidates and causes — with $46.7 million channeled directly to Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign within hours of her succeeding Biden as the nominee. In total, it’s helped raise more than $16 billion since 2004.
That is a lot of money, especially since ActBlue has claimed they came form millions of small donors. This is where the SAR Reports come into play. People went out to talk to some of these donors, some of whom had donated almost 6 figures. None of them had any idea about this and none of them could have afforded to make lavish donations like this in the first place.
Until last year, the platform did not require CVVs for online transactions with debit cards, credit cards or prepaid gift cards — and some donors made contributions well beyond their means or to the opposite party from the one they usually back, the House GOP probe found.
The probe also showed that, in some instances, hundreds of $2.50 donations to ActBlue have come from the same individual.
As I recall, a lot of those small donations happened within minutes of each other. It would have been physically impossible for the “Donors” to have done this even if they had the money to do so.
A Wisconsin Republican strategist also alleged last year in an explosive racketeering lawsuit against ActBlue that it stole his identity to make 385 fraudulent contributions to liberal groups — including Harris’ super PAC.
Mark Block, who served as chief of staff to 2012 GOP presidential hopeful Herman Cain, claimed in the suit that $884.38 was given in his name between May and October 2024, with the individual donations falling under $200 thus circumventing any filing with the Federal Election Commission.
I have a vague memory of reading about this. If I recall correctly, this is about when the GOP in the House started to look into ActBlue’s fundraising techniques. I can’t be certain, but that may have been when ActBlue’s interesting fundraising practices started gaining attention from conservative groups. Returning to the Fox News story, Darell Issa is also asking for an investigation into ActBlue:
In a letter sent by GOP Rep. Darrell Issa of California to the Treasury Department this week, first reported by the Free Press, Issa asked the Trump administration to investigate “credible allegations” that ActBlue has violated federal law by allowing terror-linked groups to use its platform.
Now this is something I hadn’t heard about. If ActBlue was playing footsie with terrorists, they have crossed the line from potential “White Coller” crimes to flat out treason.
“Despite the detailed reporting and the reasonable suspicion that our nation’s laws had been violated, the Biden-Harris Treasury Department refused to substantively address these explosive revelations,” Issa wrote.
Does this really surprise you Representative Issa? We are talking about the most corrupt administration in the last century and potentially in American history here.
“The undeniable and continued collaboration between ActBlue Charities and terror-tied entities amounts to the enabling of terrorism and may also constitute money-laundering crimes,” Issa added.
“In addition, the flagrant inability of progressive groups to address the appearance of skirting a full range of our laws — or call out the evils of Hamas and the BDS movement — raises critical questions if the activities and coalition building of ActBlue and ActBlue Charities are in reality part of a wider commitment to financing and facilitating attacks on Israel and Jewish people in America and around the globe.”
I’m not sure if Israel was aware of ActBlue actively aiding and abetting Hamas, or if they were and hadn’t yet decided how to deal with it yet. ActBlue is highly protected, or was, by the Democrat party and the Progressive elites. However, the Hamas attack into Israel on October 7th started causing fissures within the Democrats. A lot of the donors are Jewish and were horrified at what happened and enraged at the response by those they had supported. It’s possible that Israel is doing things a bit more subtly and not swapping out cellphones and pagers belonging to ActBlue employees.
Recently there have been arson attacks against Tesla dealerships. One leftard moron has been caught when he managed to set himself on fire by accident. However, others haven’t been caught yet. The new DoJ is looking into the arson attacks and is calling it domestic terrorism. (Normally I am opposed to using this, however, the attacks are politically motivated and thus, fit the definition) Elon Musk is blaming this on ActBlue.
ActBlue also drew the ire of Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk in a Sunday morning post on X, where he blamed ActBlue-funded groups for the recent protests at Tesla dealerships from activists opposed to his work with the Trump administration.
“An investigation has found 5 ActBlue-funded groups responsible for Tesla ‘protests’: Troublemakers, Disruption Project, Rise & Resist, Indivisible Project and Democratic Socialists of America,” Musk wrote.
Musk then named five ActBlue funders he believed were responsible for funding the protests, including liberal mega-donor George Soros.
The left is actively pushing for civil war again and as usual, not comprehending what would happen. What is apparently happening, and I have little doubt that Elon Musk’s sources are accurate regarding the funding sources for these thugs, is people are not putting up with it any longer. In the mean time, it looks like ActBlue is about to get a nice, deep anal exam with a barbed wire wrapped baseball bat.
If such a criminal investigation occurs, and the DoJ finds enough to not just prosecute, but get convictions of ActBlue workers, (Lower level and management, current and former), it will send shock waves through the Democrat Party. If they “Follow the money” and confirm that certain wealthy and well known in progressive liberal donors along with people in the Democrat Party proper were involved in all the activities, and get a few of them convicted as well, it’s going to be the end of the Democrat Party as it currently exists.
