Sorry for formatting, I'm new to reddit

So I used to work in a bowling alley as a lane server, and this story always makes me smile now thinking about it. I mostly made alcoholic drinks and brought them to our league bowlers, but tonight there weren't any bowling leagues it was just regular people, and we were pretty slow in the bar so I was helping out the snackbar, where we mostly just reheat frozen food and sell it for an ungodly cost. I'm taking orders. Up comes this little old lady, we'll call her OL.

OL: I need a large pepperoni pizza, without the pepperonis.

Me: So you'd like a large cheese pizza?

OL: Are you daft? I said I want a pepperoni pizza, without the pepperonis!

Me: (confused at this point) Ma'am our pepperoni pizza costs an extra $3, if you only want cheese on your pizza I will ring you up for a cheese pizza. (I really don't know how else to explain this)

OL: (turns a lovely shade of red) You kids these days! think you can pull one over on me! Just get me a damn pepperoni pizza! Without the pepperonis!

Me: Alright ma'am it will be out shortly.

I ring her up for a cheese pizza. Because I'm not going to charge a confused old lady for pepperonis that aren't on her pizza. Some time passes, I bring out her pizza and hand it t her along with her receipt, she looks at the receipt and turns into a lovely shade of tomato again, and demands to speak to my manager, Who has been aware of the whole scene as it's a small bowling alley and this lady can yell. He comes from the shoe station he's "working" at (again we're super slow), and tells the lady The pepperoni pizza will cost $3 extra, so she hands him the $3, My manager picks up her pizza, and as he is walking back to the snackbar the lady smugly makes some snide comments to her friends about how my generation just doesn't know customer service like my manager's does (He's my age, just has a gnarly beard so gets mistaken as older often)

Anyway, as she is talking to her other old bittys I watch as he walks to the snackbar, put the $3 in my tip-jar and brings her back the same exact pizza and sets it on her table.

OL: Finally. some good service around here.

I still have no idea what she thinks is on a pepperoni pizza without pepperonis.

I think this one took off more since the full concept is in title and it's phrased in a way to get the reader invested and pissed off rather than as a statement about the speaker.
