It has the most detailed account of the period of events leading up to his suicide in April 1994. Great book. “Come As You Are: the Story of Nirvana” was written before Cobain died but the author had direct access to Cobain, which makes it unique. “Serve the Servants” was a recent Cobain book written by Danny Goldberg, the band’s manager. Not much new in it and it sort of reads like a puff piece. There’s a Nirvana book by Everett True I haven’t read yet that I’d like to. I also think a Courtney Love autobiography would be really interesting to read re Cobain if it ever happens. |

There’s no way he would’ve lived that long, though. Even if he’d gone to rehab and made it through the 90s an opioid overdose before 2010 was a virtual certainty for that dude.
