I think this is why the really big bands do so much fan service and cater to the core base. You're never going to get people who don't love your stuff to care so you might as well give your hardcore fans an amazing experience. Some people will see the Stones or Coldplay on back to back nights.

It can range from getting pumped up as fuck at some rock show, to having your mind literally blown at some indie rock/shoegaze band (one Sigur Ros show I went to actually blew my mind, I was high from the music, one Beach House show I went to was similar, SLowdive was similar), or you just like to vibe to the beats at some hip hop show. I went with some girlfriend.. next concert I went to was James Taylor and I think Carly Simon in 1977 at the Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center up in Upstate New York. I went with my roommate Mike Dorsey who of course invited me.. unless it's a girl I want to f***, I never I never invite other people to go out to do things ..i always get invited cuz I'm just not a very socially active person, never was really..
I went to a concert with my roommate Andy and our neighbor Billy in San Diego in 1980.. Billy had the tickets that someone gave him. And we saw Van Halen and Jay geils Band at the San Diego Indoor Stadium.. I forget the name of the stadium I think it's been demolished now. I think those are only three concerts I've ever really been to |
