But there were other times it could be surprisingly brittle although those times were getting rare. Using it for brainstorming ideas for instance it usually would come up with cartoonish unrealistic shit that looked like an awkward mashup of stuff from an alternate universe. And also when I would give it certain novel info and data to analyze that wouldn't be in its training data it would come back with surprisingly stupid answers. Hoping models like astra that generalize really well will fix this. Although astra is only meant for agentive processes and not chat. But yet you can just use it in the api, so this seems unlikely.
