To be fair,
Actually, here's a nice time/date stamped "Buy TSLA and BTC Now" TBF thread from January 2021: https://autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=4726762&mc=40&forum_id=2. Fun fact: TSLA was ~$230/share when I made this thread (current price is ~$310), and then a year and a half later there was a 3:1 stock split.
Great thread, btw.

To be fair,
Right, so, in summary, advising people to "buy TSLA" back in early 2021 actually WAS a financially retarded call (when you REALLY think about it according to unhinged shitlib kike Pumos on XO), and as usual TBF was wrong about everything. IMO you should make sure to bump this thread like 100x so that everyone sees it and is reminded of just how stupid I really am.
BTW, it's so hard to believe that almost everyone in the world now hates (((you people))) and wants to see (((you))) dead. Crazy stuff, I'll truly never understand it!

To be fair,
(Also I love this "that's the split-adjusted price retard stonk splits don't mean shit you dumb faggot" take that you and your other Jewish compadres are pushing ITT.
Gee golly, it's so weird that many big successful companies looking to boost their stonk prices over time often end up periodically doing stonk splits, even though clearly stonk splits don't actually have any impact on human psychology vis-a-vis market dynamics... bizarre! Oh well, just one of those totally random and inexplicable things that happen sometimes in the world for unknown reasons, I guess!)

Lmao wow I'm so cooked, goddamn TSLA was PURE SHIT why did I ever buy this stupid stonk?
Hey btw just out of curiosity, what % of days during the last five years has TSLA been trading higher than $310/share (aka the price it's currently selling for today)?
Obviously I'm not accusing you of shamelessly cherry-picking data points to artificially support your contention that it would have been stupid to buy TSLA back in 2021 and hold it until July 2025 or anything like that, I'm just curious since we're having a good faith conversation about how terrible TSLA is and what a complete retard I am and you seem to really know your shit.

Considering that TSLA is currently trading at $310 (down from a ATH of $420) and that numerous respected traders have it listed as a 'Buy' with a near-term target of $400+, even from that one data point alone I think this was a pretty good cal--"
You: "So you admit that you're a retard who made a stupid call here? Thanks for playing. No wonder you're broke. Faggot. PS: You're also the REAL Jew, and we all know it."
Devastating stuff, Ari. You really showed me what's what ITT. Please continue to bump this for years to come, I'm sure this exchange will age like fine wine as TSLA inevitably backslides down to zero ("Just wait two weeks").

Jewish XO Pumos will tell you with a straight face that I (the guy who has been aggressively pushing BTC/ETH/SOL/LINK/TSLA for a decade or more) am "retarded" and "always wrong about everything."
And for proof, they'll point out that none of those assets are currently sitting at their ATHs, which QED means you're a retard for buying them and you're also a retard for still holding them.
(Except for BTC, which is indeed literally sitting at its ATH right now as I type this... but other than that...)

How does January 2021 sound?
https://autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=4726762&mc=40&forum_id=2
Fun fact: TSLA was ~$230/share when I made this thread, which would make for a decent-but-not-amazing return considering that it's currently trading at $310/share now in July 2025... except for the fact that it also did a 3:1 split in August 2022. So if you had taken my advice and bought TSLA back then, you'd currently be sitting on a >400% return on your investment.
But admittedly TSLA isn't literally sitting at ATHs right at this very moment, so QED I'm a fucking retard and I'm always wrong about everything and my financial calls are horrible.
Good thing you didn't see that thread back then and take my terrible advice!

Just so we're clear, you're claiming that Tesla has 4xd since 2021 due to the split? Incredibly odd case that the stock price didn't seem to change at all! Crazy how everyone just suddenly 3xd their money. I guess there's no way the way the stock is tracked already takes that into account, it's surely because there was a 3x increase in valuation while stock price held steady. Elon is just that fucking good.

Gee, I wonder what the purpose of a stonk split is, anyway? Probably no purpose at all, companies run by retards like Tesla probably just do it for funsies... anyway I'm sure I got "pwned" here, not sure why/how but I have no doubt it happened so great job brother you sure showed everyone whatever the fuck it is that you were trying to accomplish in this subthread. So you are sticking with your story that if you invested in Tesla in January 2021, you would have 4xd your money, as seemingly the true stock price just didn't budge? That's quite the investment!
---
https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/tesla-shares-limelight-3-1-stock-split-kicks-2022-08-25/
The stock opened at $302 and closed at $296.07 as the split allowed investors to get two additional shares for each they owned as of Aug. 17. It had closed at $891.29 before the split on Wednesday.

Well that's just silly talk. I bet they just don't get stock splits. Silly me investing in the S&P 500 which is up 70% over the same time period. If only I had 4xd my money in Tesla.

TBF's recommendation of TSLA seems to be based on the company's expansion into robotaxis and home robots, which if they pay off is going to propel the stock into the stratosphere. i don't think he ever advocated buying in 2021 and selling in 2025. he's saying that he thinks the stock is at 300 today but in a decade could be well over 1000. if that doesn't come to pass, his prediction is worthy of ridicule, but all this thread is doing is pointing out that there's been volatility and choppiness with the stock in the short term.
imagine this was 2001 and he'd been urging people back in 1999 to buy AMZN only to have it lose like 90% of its value by 2001.
full disclosure: i am a retard and have put like $50k into TSLA based in part on TBF's cheerleading.

To be fair,
OK since you won't answer my question about why companies do stonk splits, here I'll answer it myself (caveat that I'm sure this is totally wrong as usual):
Do you think that TSLA's overall equity value as a value has increased as a direct result of that stonk split? I do, and clearly Elon does as well (that's why he pushed for it). BTW I never claimed it had "4xd" as a result of that split, I said it had increased in value AND given me more shares.
And on that note, do you think that my larger TSLA stack will now continue to compound in value faster over time than it would have before as all of those "additional" individual TSLA shares continue to grow in monetary value -- in part because the stonk split itself helped increase liquidity in TSLA and contributed to the public perception among semi-retarded retail investors that it was more "affordable"? Once again, I do, and clearly Elon does as well (that's why he pushed for it). In fact, I fully expect that we'll see another TSLA split within the next 2-3 years for precisely that reason as TSLA continues to grow in value.
...but I'm sure some querulous little faggot on the internet who is stomping his foot and arguing that ackkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkshually when you REALLY think about it, TSLA was a shitty stonk to buy in January 2021 is way smarter and way more financially savvy than me or Elon Musk (aka the richest man in the world).

Whoa... so actually, now that we've talked, you're in agreement that Tesla is a "great company" and that TSLA has been an objectively great investment vehicle which I presciently called out years ago, and you're also in further agreement that the 2022 stonk split was yet another smart call by Elon which has already boosted the equity value of the company and will continue to pay dividends down the line?
Uh... yeah, I don't really have anything else to say here.
Sounds good to me. Glad we talked, bud!

(Guy who gets it)
Just remember that you're talking to a pack of seething Jewish faggots who are literally still making the argument in July 2025 that when you REALLY think about it, ackkkkkkkkkkkkkshually BTC wasn't THAT great of an investment (it has literally 1000xd in value since I first pushed it on XO and is current sitting at ATHs and climbing quickly due to a historic outpouring of widespread institutional investment).
It's almost like they aren't actually interested in being fair and reasonable about this stuff and they are constitutionally incapable of admitting they got something wrong and fucked up. Almost.
