A heated debate erupted this week after an anonymous internet commenter on a racist law message board insisted that famed fictional cannibal Hannibal Lecter "acted completely like a homosexual," citing unspecified gestures, intonations, and "general demeanor."

Asked to clarify, the poaster responded simply: "one."

Experts remain divided.

"While Lecter displays an affinity for fine dining, opera, and interior design, these interests alone do not constitute diagnostic criteria," said Dr. Samuel Porkson, a leading specialist in Fictional Criminal Profiling.

Others were less cautious.

"It’s not that he kills people and eats them," said University of Chicago professor Martina Bleak, "it’s how he does it."

At press time, Lecter himself could not be reached for comment, but sources close to the situation confirmed he was "politely sharpening a bone saw" and listening to Bach.
