No, they were more driven by hatred of GWB than love of Kerry. Even Democrats quietly acknowledged that he looked like the walking dead at the podium.
"People would prefer Kerry over Hillary or Sanders. That makes him the dem nominee these days."
Hard to say. There's considerable prejudice (and for good reason) about running a guy who had a chance and blew it.
