Second, the unfortunate reality is Gaza's government is responsible for the welfare of Gaza's citizens. They chose to attack Israel, and they choose to leave their civilians above ground while utilizing tunnels and weapons for their own survival while claiming Israel is responsible for Gazans. I would love it if no innocent civilians suffer, but given the circumstances, it's a Gazan problem, not an israeli one, and Gaza's government are reported to have been ecstatic at the number of martyrs.
That said, the good news is that Hezbollah apparently doesn't operate that way. They're not the government of Lebanon, and they apparently don't entrenched themselves in tunnels under civilian areas. |
