I started going on AM walks Sunday, must have slipped a disk because I could barely move yesterday.
Running an 800 calorie deficit, and only exercise is walking 3 miles in the morning.
Going to start incorporating resistance training 3x/week once my back stops pain spasming
Hoping to drop 50-60 pounds by the end of the year, but would be happy with 35-40 pounds.
If I run an 800 calorie deficit for a 15 months - I could reach my goal weight of 165-170 by August 2025.
What ratio of that will be fat loss is my concern.
How much lean body mass can I maintain?

I'm 38 and have never been an athlete, let alone elite.
Got a dexa scan done couple years ago was at 45% body fat with LBM of ~144 pounds.
I'll take your advice and stay consistent and lose weight and then try to build back up.
Not to put the cart ahead of the horse, but, lets say August next year, I'm able to drop down to 165/170 pounds, but I'm at say 25-30% body fat. What's the move then?
Also, thanks for the non-flame feedback.

CR Thanks!
Will report back with my progress in a few months. Tired of being a fat fuck.
I'm committed to this routine and hoping I can still get in decent shape naturally.

Fasted lifting works great for weight loss in conjunction with cardio but it's not ideal for getting strong and muscular.
I know because even though the leangains program/protocol changed my life and got me back in shape, once you're actually in shape you will make much better progress by eating a pre workout meal. Intense lifting after 12+ hours of fasting is not gonna be possible. You need fuel.
