One near me is perpetually swamped with customers, employees are overworked trying to juggle grill, register, and online orders. Prices are reasonable. Everyone is mostly middle class and "respectable". No wonder Starbucks is Ruined. It still seems weird to me though since you can just buy the same coffee they're making right off the shelf and brew it at home. A bagel is a bagel afaik. Who knew the locally owned cafe would be such a stalwart business model.

Making coffee at home sucks irl. You only want a cup but you basically have to brew a pot. Keurigs are bad for everything, plastic everywhere and you have to clean them or they will give you salmonella. Also a lot of proles and Women are drinking ice coffee which you can’t really do at home.

Maybe you can, I can’t. Seems impossible. The coffee would just melt the ice.

My homemade coffee is top 0.5%, at least. I can't remember the last time I had coffee as good as my coffee when I'm out.

starbucks is still the most convenient for me in terms of drive thrus and ubiquity

not many mom and pop cafe's offer drive thru service. Also, I'm an green tea lemonade by the liter type of guy and starbucks has the best tasting version of that imo
