What are the circumstances of the vote: do you have a few seconds to think about it or days? The vote is private, but can you talk about it with other people, if there's time to decide? Will people be campaigning for one choice or the other?

I also agree with MPA's concern about like, are kids included? What about the feeble of mind? These details could make a big difference.

If everyone (we'll say adults) is just asked out of the blue and has to decide on the spot, I think the Twitter poll (in which Blue had 57% last I checked) could be a better indication than some of you guys think. I know there are no stakes on Twitter, but it still reflects people's instincts (pure self-preservation vs. cooperation to ensure everyone's survival).
