I received the call from the hospital this afternoon after he was moved to an acute rehab facility following his surgery ~1 month ago. He arrived just after 2pm today. I guess no one checked on him or anything, because at 3pm they were doing chest compressions. They got a pulse back, but he kept going into arrest at the hospital and they finally called the code after giving him pretty much everything available.
He was talking this morning and totally fine. |

i remember holding court at a friend's house in 2019, coked up to my tits and piss drunk, ranting about how there's no point at all to life and it's a big hedonistic fuckfest (then demanding that someone "drive me to downtown annapolis so i can buy some crack").

there was a hardcore punk venue there called the stanton center (kinda like a YMCA hall), and there was a show there in 93 that fortunately i missed but some of my friends went to. the neighborhood people rolled up to it with guns and held the entire place hostage/robbed them. this was before anyone really had cellphones so nobody could do shit about it.
if you're familiar with the historic part of annapolis, this is maybe a mile away from that (if even that far). and it's still like that.
the first time i went to new haven CT (again, for a hardcore show), i was shocked at how ghetto it was - we heard gunshots outside our hotel all night. i pictured who's the boss. i guess people look at annapolis through that kinda lens. |
