You need to 100% believe in yourself and win that battle with your mind. But when you’re short, hideous, bald, out of shape and never got women, no wonder you’re having trouble being on your own side. That’s why you have threads of people who don’t improve themselves, or are morbid and talk about how shitty the world is (disco fried etc).
On the other side of the coin some people are so fuckin stupid that they have irrational self-confidence bc they’re so dumb to realize the dangers/issues in the world. These people are very often successful bc they’re to dumb and just walk around the world with no fear.
So you have:
Successful: people who can control their minds and find a way to always win+ dumb successful people who win because they’re too stupid and don’t worry about shit
Unsuccessful: people with no control of their minds (99% of XO) but did well in school etc + dumb people who are lost causes

People who have control of their minds, intelligent, self aware, constantly battling themselves but win: chandler types who realize there are people out there making a lot of money while he makes $76k and he changes that. He was probably sitting at home wanting to vomit at the fact he made shit money and it kept him up at night and wasn’t afraid to take a chance to change that.
(I put RSF between these two. Great guy though).
People who are self aware but afraid to act or don’t know how to act or constantly lose the battle with themself: TT, disco, etc.
Too dumb (not IQ dumb I just mean they’re not sitting around thinking about shit) to care about stuff, just act and as a result successful: CSLG, luis, etc
Too dumb and untalented to ever be successful: not many but maybe dessert fox, booooom etc
