Roads to tenure or a prestigious college are closed to him even though he’s gay and maybe trans with 2 moms

I understand the publishing world also hates whitr men but that’s his ticket if the novel is good enough

i'm not thranths, guis, stoooop haha

creative scene is pretty oversaturated and hard to break into, from what i'm told. i've been writing more poems lately and would be pretty happy if i can break even with submission fees someday. novels seem like a huge risk in terms of time sunk v. success and i'm not enthusiastic about the form. i'm overly verbose by nature but shouldn't give into that impulse entirely.

fair enough, yes it has to be a passion i think beyond the money to really attempt it because the odds of success are super low

you should poas some of your poems here

fwiw i really loved arx han's debut novel "incel" which was independently published. he couldn't get published through traditional routes because incels aren't a favored topic among our elites

yeah exactly, i think you'd have to love it to do it well, too. a lot of novels fail in part because they're bad, not just politics. my mom tried to get one published at some point and i nearly lost my mind when she'd send me excerpts to proofread or whatever. it's a degenerate genre that fits degenerate drivel well.
