american christians have a route to finding it spurious or "made up" through the millennialist/end times textualist approach to scripture that israel's AIPAC encouraged and promoted throughout the 90s and 00s

as a more concrete aside i find netanyahu moving the political capital of israel to jerusalem to be a shrewd but ultimately very disrespectful and irreligious-risking move; he's basically using the shared history of the region in the abrahamic faiths as a human shield of sorts to limit attacks from islamic nations, putting that shared history there, a touchstone of commonality for often very disparate populations, at permanent risk for the sakes of whatever temporal aims likud may have at the time.

it's like if france moved the functions in the elyseé to the galleries under the louvre and then bombed vienna or prague

Wtf are you babbling about. Bibi didn’t move any capital. Jerusalem has been the capital since 1948 and all government functions have been there the whole time.

most embassies to israel are in tel aviv and much of the state complexes and campuses that do the business of administration over israel are in tel aviv. the UN recognizes about half of jerusalem at present as rightful palestinian territory.

"bibi moved"="bibi cajoled the premier UNSC state to recognize jerusalem as the capital of israel". after the formal recognition from the US netanyahu had leeway to move more admin functions to jerusalem from tel aviv. as i understand it this is controverial amongst israelis as tel aviv is seen as the more liberal and cosmopolitan city amongst the two and it has a history of consistently being a wellspring of left wing/liberal political activism in israeli politics

https://www.autoadmit.com/thread.php?thread_id=5747131&mc=2&forum_id=2 your thoughts?

i'm plowing through decades of israeli history in a couple weeks so give it a while to settle. trying to retain the politician names alone is an uphill battle, like the taking of the golan heights in the six day war

israeli history after 1950 actually reads a lot like the books of the prophets in the OT with constant "and then the tribes of hebron-on-galilee invaded the lands of the levites, and three tribes of israel responded" and "the benjaminites then took the river of sinai from the peoples of kharǔm and the shepards and goat-herders contained in the region did rejoice" type stories happening every 7 or so years
