So a lot of you have probably noticed me radfem poasting recently, and while that's mostly just flame to stir the pot, there's some truth to it. I haven't had a boyfriend for years now, and it's not because I'm ugly. I just don't want to deal with men. When I met MPA in Boston, I was honestly impressed by how articulate and gregarious he was. But there was an undercurrent through the entire conversation that felt "off". He kept talking down his ex-wife, and I don't really know what the point is. It was to the point whwre it seemed like his entire recent life was built on defying her and justifying the divorce. Again, I get that's it's a big deal, but wtf? Was this his way of flirting with me? Like, "Yeah, you're Asian but I'd rather be with you than this white b*tch" It was weird.

I consider Fizz as someone who is emotionally stunted and romantically illiterate. MPA is a savant with a high EQ. It wasn't his job to entertain her or pitch her on him. He's got his own issues and took a flyer on her which is understandable. It even appears from her perspective that he half-heartedly took a swing at her. I would expect no less from my man.

But nevertheless this is all wrapped up in guilty feelings about sex that tipify extremely religious girls. Also it's so fucking cold of her to have this whole backstory of a work trip, which I believe, but in essence, if you are heaping expectations onto a guy who admittedly is at a low point just bouncing back, that she would cash their romantic get together in a cover story.
