There have been a total of 337 deaths due to COVID-19 in the U.S. among children under 18. And the overwhelming majority of those deaths were in kids who already had health problems. It's not zero risk, but cars and bees are far more likely to kill kids than COVID is. |

Ok. Thailand has had much but this 2 month baby died. And we dont trust the media here so I can't be sure if the 2 month old had a real condition or not.

But the point remains that your baby is hundreds of times more likely to die in a car accident than she is from COVID. Don't get me wrong; I am a virusbadmo through and through. I got my vaccine as soon as it was available and I still wear my mask any time I am out in public. I take this thing very seriously. But I do it because I want to protect others, not because I am worried about the virus myself. Even at age 40, my risk of dying from the virus is extremely low. But I don't want to spread it to some 80-year-old dude and kill him. However, I know that the virus poses practically no danger to children. (I mean, it's not zero danger, but it's far less danger than cars.)
I still feel slightly guilty telling you to go fuck strange during a pandemic. But the risk to your daughter is extremely small. And if you have a nanny to take care of her, it's not like she'll be neglected. So I think you should go for it. |
