you can't tell the difference between a 4k video and a 3k video. it just doesn't matter when watching stuff on a laptop or a monitor from normal working distances.

Who shoots 3k video? It’s 4K versus 1080. You can clearly see diff on a big tv. I shoot my home movies in 5.3k.

He probably meant 2K which is still imperceptible from 4K to 90% of end users

True 4K media on 120hz and >40in display is significantly more distinguishable but how often is anyone streaming true 4K or playing blu ray?

99% of the slop served over streaming apps looks like trash no matter what format they call it

You have to get an oled display & watch 4k HDR content. The HDR makes a difference on OLED.

4k HDR looks better in motion video, the lights enhance the details, they don't blur them like in the image.

My favorite tv of all time was my Sony Vega 27" 1080P HD CRT with the 4:3 aspect ratio

My god 1080P was glorious on than thing. My dick would literally get hard from the sound of the internals powering up

Screenshots don't properly capture the video quality, but you can roughly see the HDR giving you better lighting, which doesn't reduce any detail in the actual video.

30 vs 60 FPS is a more noticeable quality improvement than 1080p or even 720p to 4K.
