Didn’t even have a good map, just a list of directions from some guy at a local bike shop. Got quite lost and probably doubled our intended distance. Ran out of food and water. Classic Type III fun, accidental death march.
But when we got back to the car we had a cooler full of icy cold orange Gatorade and some giant turkey subs. Probably the only thing that kept us vertical for the 90 minute drive back out of the backwoods to our campground. |
