FUCK. i was gonna go out tonight, but i'm too depressed to go out and drink. a bridgewater trader job would have set me up nicely for elite b-schools and future hedge fund jobs. |

i know some people do less prestigious non-profit flame or whatever and then get into top b-schools. not sure exactly how they do wrt finance but im sure HWS is always worth it. and the thing is, b-schools get apps from all the finance gunners. they admit a pile of those but then they all fill out their classes with people who have "unique" backgrounds not related to finance/consulting. |

I was there for an interview and they gave me shit questions like is abortion wrong. I asked them about their jobs and none of the associates knew how a hedge fund even works. Basic shit that any striver Jew at stern would know.

first, virtually all the traders at bwater went to ivies, and the investment associates are HYP undergrads or HBS/Stanford MBAs.
second, even the "lowly" traders there are clearing close to 200K including bonus their first year, and then the pay goes up a lot. within a few years they are easily clearing $400K+.
third, lol@some excel banker monkey who thinks he's more prestigious than working at the world's largest and most successful hedge fund. |
