5'9, 185 lb. i need to lose abt 20 lbs but if i can get <172 lb, then ill be looking better than i have in years
i plan to work out 6 days/week. alternating running 3 mi one day and doing weights/sprinting 1 mi the other day
thoughts?
food:
upon waking - green smoothie - kale, collards, raw honey, greek yogurt, etc.
work out
pwo - protein bar or cottage cheese
AM snack - veggies
lunch - romaine lettuce and lean turkey
PM snack - veggies or protein bar
dinner - lean chicken or turket & veggies
night snack - 1/2 green smoothie -- see above
drink 2 liters of water per day
no soft drinks, no alcohol, nothing fried
1-2 cups coffee max per day (black)
thoughts!??!?!?! ways to improve?

I'd cut out the honey and make sure the yogurt is not sweetened.
I would also find something to replace the protein bars as they usually have a lot of sugar in them too
consider snacking on low/moderate fat cheeses and/or having eggs for breakfast
if you like your coffee black, then keep it the same, but a tablespoon or two of milk or half-n-half won't be significant
consider black tea as a replacement for sodas if you have trouble avoiding soda - whatever you do, don't drink diet sodas or use artifical sweeteners

You need to lose 3.3# of fat a week, 10# in three weeks, 20# in six weeks. A pound of fat is 3500 calories. Therefore, you need to net 10500 + 1050 = 11550 fewer calories per week, or 1650 calories fewer per day. Assuming a male in his twenties, I'm gonna say your metabolic rate is about 2400 cal a day. So you need to net about 750 calories total per day to achieve your goals. Please let the reality of that situation sink in.
Now, if you consume less than about 1200 calories per day, you will have serious negative metabolic and hormonal effects. That means you have to eat NO MORE than 1200 calories per day, AND burn 450 calories per day on exercise.
So that 3 miles? Make it 4 miles. And make it every fucking day.
Also realize that you will feel constantly hungry if you have ANY empty calories. If you want to do this, you cannot have any sugar in your diet at all. Sorry, but that means no fucking dairy. Lactose is a fucking sugar mmkay?
Here is what you can eat:
Chicken
Tuna
Eggs
Lettuce
Celery
NO CARROTS. Carrots have too much sugar for your diet. NO YOGURT. Yogurt has too much sugar for your diet. NO HONEY. Honey has way too much fucking sugar for your diet. NO COTTAGE CHEESE. Cheese is dairy, which is lactose, which is fucking sugar.
If your body has a hard time adjusting to an extreme low-carb diet, you can have half a sweet potato no more than three times a week. You may not flavor the sweet potato with honey, sugar, butter, or any metabolizing flavoring agent.
In fact, here are the flavorings you're allowed: salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, yellow mustard. Not brown mustard. Not fucking honey dijon mustard. Yellow mustard.
That is fucking it.

Bro, that is a really intense plan. If you actually stick to it you will definitely see results in six weeks. Hell, if you just jog 3mi 3x per week, do a cumulative couple hundred situps and pushups every day, and generally avoid eating crap, you will see results.
