OKC is the way to go if you just want to meet people and aren't really looking for anything serious. Due to its low requirements, it draws in flakier people. |

The point isn't to be stuck in e-mail message hell for weeks. The point is to meet people without having to try very hard and determine if you like them based on pre-determined criteria that matched you in some way.

But really, for a single dood in his mid-20s, OKC and meeting through friends are the only credited calls.
OKC: Super easy to set up a profile, free, and if you aren't a total idiot/aspie and have some idea of how to talk to women, you'll get a response rate well above 20%. I'm not incredibly good looking (6.5, maybe 7 at best) and I had a response rate of around 40-50%+ when I was in DC. You do not need to spend tons of time messaging back and forth. (If you're doing that, you're doing this wrong.) Send short, simple messages that mention something you found interesting in the person's profile and asking them about it.
Meeting through friends: arrange dinner party/potluck type things with your friends, encourage them to invite friends from work, profit. |
