shitlaw clerk to tax compliance. I can rangle on XO drafting slip and falls, with large corporate tax compliance, not so much.

Are your concerns about the link showing up in your history, the recording of the things you type on your keyboard, or simply the issue of wasted time?

my policy has always been "if it's not blocked, then it's okay to look at." I could be wrong though.

Certainly everything is recorded, but I think there are very few situations where anything is looked at. Obviously don't type foul language on your keyboard though.

There are undeniably keyloggers. I don't think anything is "flagged" per se, but the history is recorded if they ever wanted to look at it.

Does your firm not have filters on these things? Ours is overinclusive and all kinds of things are blocked.

We do have some filters, but (so far) the things I have clicked on have not been blocked. When I was in BigLaw, I would never poast on XO, but now that I am at a smaller shop, I poast on her more frequently. I guess I just have to be more cautious on the links I click on.

Things Court can do if they don’t like the precedent

1. common sense to the meaning and the purpose of the rule --- choose not to

apply the rule

2. overrule the rule

3. limit the rule by not applying it in certain context

4. follow it anyway and urge the legislature to change it

5. they can hold the statute unconstitutional

6. pretend the rule doesn’t exist
