Living near stone street of the seaport is great. Lots of subways, all buildings have good amenities, decent space, and modern construction. Tons of young professionals and easy to get to cool parts of town. The only areas that are better are TriBeCa, W Village, and Nolita, but they are literally more than twice as expensive for a similar quality place (doorman 1br with gym in building and 700 sq feet - 2800 in FiDi, 4500 + or non existent in those other hoods). Living in the UWS or UES far from a subway is lame.
