Lots of work throughout UG with poor urban/rural communities, like community outreach work on STD/safe sex stuff. Lots of random stuff with inner-city kids, helping out at clinics for poor kids, etc. Done lots of shadowing stuff in hospitals but I don't really know what that entails or details on that. Did research throughout UG with some different professors. Will be doing public health internship type thing (with sweet funding) in a very poor foreign country this summer.
About to start her second year of Teach For America.
Also, she is Mexican (but not first-gen). Probably should have mentioned that earlier. |
