i have been to 1OAK and avenue recently (two pretty exclusive nyc clubs) and there were tons of black people in each. |

I've been in situations like this before. I don't blame the black guy for calling the investigative news, etc. but some part of me just feels like "why would i want to go into that place anyways?"

I'm involved with two clubs -- one a larger club with many types of people and another primarily Korean (about 90%) or so. That club looked mostly Korean to me at first glance.
The latter club I'm involved with is not open to the public and you must get a membership card to receive entry. The main barrier is that the card is open to everyone but the entire process is in Korean only and the practical result of that is even non-Koreans with cards generally speak Korean. Also, all the music (DJs) is only K-pop (Korean) and all staff only speak Korean so this tends to produce the skewed crowd as intended. |
