yeah I won't argue with that. I think James had an amazing run with The Ambassadors, Wings of the Dove and The Golden Bowl at the top of the century, but obviously Kafka tops that, tops Joyce, tops Pynchon (lol), Faulkner, Hemingway... and probably Proust
