i obviously go out every weekend but even if i dont try to blow too much, i'm still spending 500 or so on alcohol and stuff. cabs alone are going to be 30 each way or 60 roundtrip. For 2 days thats 120. There's also my expensive ass rent which combined with fine dining takes out one paycheck.
anyone else feel me brothers? |

Rent is a legitimate gripe for most people. $500/night on alcohol is being a fucking idiot.
By the way, the Mad Men era is over. People at the top may network over booze, but when you're a subordinate, going out drinking all the time just gets you the reputation of an alcoholic. Don't drink except with a potential mentor, and limit it to 1. |

i do have a bunch of biglaw associates and "wannabe" models who i want to either hang out with or fuck so i blow a lot. even if i cut that down to 300 avg, i'm still not saving much. and 300 bucks in alcohol gets u like 10 drinks in NYC which is def not enough for the entire WEEKEND when ur buying at least a few drinks for friends/girls. |

I find it very hard to successfully hit on chicks in bars.
Been told all my life that I have the "gift of gab," but that doesn't seem to work with the NYC professional woman. How credited is working out and looking good? I mean can being in relatively good shape really make that much of a difference?
Surely, I don't have to look Michael Phelps good but maybe someone like John Edwards(that's the only example I could come up with)
