flame. nobody who wears bespoke would waste money on ill-fitting off the rack suits, much less brag about them.

That makes zero sense. And LOL at the idea that an expertly tailored Isaia will fit poorly. Enjoy your 1818's little breh.

an expertly tailored isaia won't fit 'poorly'; it will just never fit close to as well as bespoke. you can't 'expertly tailor' an off the rack suit by more than a certain extent, anyway. if the shoulders and chest on the isaia don't fit that well, there's not much you can do without recutting the entire suit.

they say that once you go bespoke, you'll never go back.

Well for me that hasnt been true. I understand your point of course, but it isnt so cut and dry that OTR suits cant look as good or close to as good as bespoke. It depends on the brand. isaia and brioni happen to fit me very well and with good tailoring look almost as good as a suit made just for me. Certain other OTR makers, oxxford and corneliani for instance, never fit me that well and you'd be correct to say that no amount of tailoring would make them look great. But that's why I don't buy them.

They are from one of the top tailors/makers in NYC (I haven't done the whole Naples or London thing). They cost between $3500 and $4500.

I hear quality is spotty from one to the next. I think you really have to know who to go to otherwise you end up with something that falls apart in a year. I haven't looked into it closely enough to do that with confidence.

If you are ever in HK, I would recommend the following:

http://samstailor.com/

A fraction of the price of your NY/London bespokes, even cheaper than many off the racks, and I can tell you they are of high quality. Clients includes several POTUS and European royalty.
