Well for me that hasnt been true. I understand your point of course, but it isnt so cut and dry that OTR suits cant look as good or close to as good as bespoke. It depends on the brand. isaia and brioni happen to fit me very well and with good tailoring look almost as good as a suit made just for me. Certain other OTR makers, oxxford and corneliani for instance, never fit me that well and you'd be correct to say that no amount of tailoring would make them look great. But that's why I don't buy them.

I hear quality is spotty from one to the next. I think you really have to know who to go to otherwise you end up with something that falls apart in a year. I haven't looked into it closely enough to do that with confidence.
