Had a 19yr old girl come thru arraignment for stealing $130+ worth of shit from Old Navy.
I WISH I could've slammed her ass in jail, but the Judge pussed out when he saw that her mommy and daddy had come to court to support her.
Other than that, I don't feel sympathy for them. |

Follow-up: can a cop be a "good cop" in your book if he/she more than once has lied on the stand in order to convict a person who is actually guilty but couldn't be convicted on truthful testimony and properly obtained evidence? |

2. "Everyday" is an adjective. You're thinking of the adverbial phrase "every day." And just so you know, the idea that the cops are good because you live in a liberal town where people plead guilty is pretty stupid. The reasons for my own anti-cop bias are pretty stupid too, but you should own that it's stupid.
3. You're looking for "any more." But maybe I put the question poorly. I meant to get at whether you consider it "good cop" behavior to lie on the stand to put a criminal in jail. And, yes, clearly an ex-child molester can be a good person. |

Neither the police, nor the prosecutors decide a person's guilt. That's for the jury/judge to decide. If a cop is willing to destroy his credibility (and risk a fucking mistrial or get the whole damn thing overturned) to get a "guilty person", then he's not doing his job. |

What I said, and what you keep ignoring, is that a jury takes a oath to apply the law to the facts. Now, if you are the type of person that can take an oath and then disregard it because it suits your political whim, then so be it.
